Setting Up MFA using the Microsoft Authenticator App
This section is assuming that the Microsoft Authenticator app is already installed on the mobile device and configured correctly. Once you have logged in select Microsoft Authenticator App from the drop-down menu Figure 6 shows this below.

In this documentation we have selected “Receive notifications for verification” on how we want to use the mobile app (outlined in green in figure 6) this is the most convenient as pop up will appear on your phone asking you to approve the verification.
Once this has been completed click on setup. A new window will appear, follow the on-screen instructions. Figure 7 shows this below.

Once you have scanned the OR code and clicked next the Microsoft Authenticator App would have loaded with your school email address. Once this has been completed you should see the following window displayed on your screen. Figure 8 shows this below:

You should now see a pop up on your mobile device asking you approve the sign in. Click on Approve, you may be asked for your mobile pin code to complete the process. Figure 9 shows this below

Once this has been completed the process for setting up MFA on the app will be completed.
It may ask you to input your mobile number at the end in case you lose access to the mobile app. Figure 10 shows this below.

Please type in your contact number and click done. Once this has been done the process has been completed.
In this documentation we have gone through setting up MFA using your mobile phone/app. As mentioned before this is to be setup when you are outside of the school network (or on your mobile phone). MFA will only take effect when you are outside of the school.
